I believe that compassion and empathy are at the heart of providing counselling to those who are experiencing challenges and difficulties in their lives. By working within an eclectic client-centered framework I strive to create a therapeutic experience that reflects and addresses a person’s unique needs and strengths to help bring positive change in their life.
My work in the counselling field began with a focus on helping those with substance use disorders and has branched into other areas of mental health including anxiety, OCD, trauma, PTSD, depression, and self-worth. My completion of a post-graduate certificate in Addictions Treatment and Prevention from Georgian College as well as a Master’s in Counselling of Psychology from Yorkville University have provided me with the skills and knowledge needed to ensure safe and beneficial therapy in these areas. In addition to these credentials, I am a registered psychotherapist (qualifying), I have completed my Clinical Trauma Professional Level One certification, I am trained in EMDR, and have taken specialized trainings in IFS, EFT, CPT, ERP, and CBT.
I look forward to working collaboratively with you in your personal journey towards healing and wellness.
